REFLECT
with Benjamin Beilman
DEC 10 – DEC 12, 2026
Photo: Ben Beilman, Violinist and Guest Leader
Lauded as “poised and monstrously talented,” violinist Benjamin Beilman leads New Century through music that hits with both intensity and vulnerability. Olli Mustonen’s playful nonet crackles with energy and unpredictability before melting into the intimate warmth of Eugène Ysaÿe’s lullaby and Sibelius’s lyrical suite, showcasing the violin’s humanity and vulnerability . Schoenberg’s symphonic poem then leads us on an evening stroll through a moonlit forest, a shadowed confession, and a resolution of peace and exuberance. This journey may leave you breathless, before settling into a reflective calm and collective exhale.
